Smart Export Guarantee

Get paid for every unit of solar you don't use.

UK energy suppliers are required to pay you for surplus electricity. We handle the registration.

How SEG works

How the Smart Export Guarantee works.

When your solar panels generate more electricity than you use, the surplus goes back to the grid. Under the SEG, your energy supplier pays you for every unit exported.

Rates currently range from 3p to 15p per kWh depending on your supplier and tariff. We register your installation with the best available tariff and handle all the paperwork.
