Solar panel installations were zero-rated for VAT in April 2022. That means no VAT is charged on the materials or labour. On a typical £8,000 installation, that's a £1,600 saving baked in automatically.

The zero rate is confirmed until at least March 2027. Every Ecopilot quote reflects this — you never pay VAT on a solar installation through us.

Yes — battery storage installed at the same time as solar panels is also VAT-exempt. A standalone battery retrofit may attract VAT depending on the specification.
